The Band

Jim - Guitar / Vocals

Jim was an 80s metalhead from the start and a punk rocker at heart.  He started out on trumpet and organ before buying his first guitar at the age of fifteen.  He picked up an issue of Guitar for the Practicing Musician and learned his first songs: Holy Diver, Johnny B. Goode, and Black Magic Woman. The music selection from there varied over the years starting with tons of 80s hair metal and eventually included a wider palette of classic rock, blues, grunge, punk, and pop.

Jim's been playing the  Raleigh music scene for over twelve years with bands such as Flawed Logic, Three Beer Sally and Tortuga Stone and even showing up as a guest vocalist or guitarist for a few other local bands

At every performance, it’s about connecting with the crowd and getting to know the fans. That’s his source of energy - it’s what keeps him coming back for more. He's never found an IPA he didn't like and is always happy to share a few drinks with new found friends at each show and contemplate whether or not Daniel Larusso might actually have been the bully in The Karate Kid

Mike - Bass / Keys / Vocals

Originally from the Syracuse New York area, Mike learned guitar and piano from his parents. His father played guitar in a pop band locally and both his mother and grandmother showed him how to play piano.

Mike joined up with a local rock band, Exposure,  in 1988 and they stayed together for seventeen years.  Playing keyboards, guitar and bass guitar, which was his first instrument of choice. Exposure were weekend road warriors playing over one hundred gigs per year and gained popularity playing songs from Springsteen to Pink Floyd. In 2005 they opened up for The Fabulous Thunderbirds as well as The Charlie Daniels Band.  In 2007, former lead vocalist for Anthrax, Joey Belladonna, joined as drummer and vocalist.

Moving to North Carolina in 2011, Mike played bass and keyboards for several local bands and has filled in for many bands playing either instrument.  Today he's doing double duty playing bass and adding some tasty keyboards to Bad PR helping to help the songs sound bigger and even more powerful.
